Five reasons you should hire a wedding photographer.

It is no secret that looking for a wedding photographer can be a daunting task. Most of us try to make the process as painless as possible. Here are five reasons you should gire a wedding photographer for your special day.

1. I have a friend that can hold a camera and take my photos for me.

Friends are great! But when you have a friend shoot your wedding. You expect a certain amount of quality in your images. Let's be real for a second. This is a once in a lifetime event for you. You have made everything perfect. That pits a lot of pressure on you and your friend that has to photograph your wedding. What happens if they miss a moment that you really wanted to look back on later in life? Using someone who has not trained for a wedding is prone to making mistakes. This can cause problems in your relationship with this person later on down the road.

2. Okay, I can just take a few images myself at my wedding.

We have a few things wrong with this. The first is if you have ever been to a wedding you know that this is not going to be an option. Take a look at any Bride at their wedding. They are most likely very emotional. Making sure everything runs smoothly is not an easy task. The next thing is are you really going to want to look at these images ten years down the road if you are not in any of them?

3. We will have many people at my wedding with a camera, I will just get the photographs from them.

Yes you will have a lot of cameras pointed at you for the whole day. What happens when they miss that one moment that you wanted. Like the first kiss or throwing the bouquet? These are the images that one wants to miss from their wedding. The moments that you cannot get back.

4. But everyone will have their phones I will just get my images from social media.

This is true you will have tons of cameras and phones at your wedding. Your guests will be thrilled to upload the images that they have taken of your wedding to social media. But the same thing as before applies to this as well. What if something is missed, Plus you are going to want to have some of these images to be printed in an album to look back on as your relationship grows. You just cannot get something like that from Facebook.

5. I just don't know about hiring a photographer, What if I don/t like them or their work?

Most photographers require an in person meeting for this exact reason. Most of the time this meeting will take place months before your actual wedding day. Planning is the key thing here. Do your research, Make sure you love the photographers work before you ever book a meeting. If you do not like what you see. Chances are that you will not like the outcome of your images. When you do find the photographer you like and you book the meeting. Make sure you ask a lot of questions. Even the hard ones like, How confident are you that you can photograph my wedding without a problem? Make sure that you trust the photographer. Also at the meeting, The photographer will also ask you a few things as well like, What kind of wedding you are having? As well as, Where your wedding will be. This may not seem that important to you at the time. But what is happening is your photographer is figuring out the best way to photograph your individual wedding. The colors of the wedding play a big part as well. Only a photographer will know to ask these questions.

I hope that you have enjoyed this little blog post. I hope that it has made it wo where you can now make an informed decision on how you want to your wedding to look for future generations.
